Every mover has its own way of presenting estimates and moving price quotes. However, no matter what relocation service you intend to use and what type of moving service you need, the same essential information must always be provided to you.

Information Regarding your Mover
All movers must provide you with their license numbers and exact address. Don’t settle for PO boxes, general storage addresses, or any other variation that’s not an exact physical address. The license numbers you’ll be provided with will allow you to run a check on the mover and make sure it is legit.
The mover must also tell you how many men will be coming to perform your move, and an estimated delivery time for long distance moving. If storage is involved, all storage fees and the storage address must be mentioned in the estimate.
Information Regarding your Estimate
The estimates you receive must always include a list of all possible extra charges, including packing as well as packing materials.
The estimate must also make clear how it had been calculated. Make sure the basic charge unit, whether cubic feet or weight for long distance moving, or hourly fee for local moving, is clearly marked on the contract to avoid any misunderstandings.
Also, the estimate must include both pick up and destination locations and any other specific information discussed and agreed upon between the customer and the relocation consultant.
