Here are some time saving tips that will help you to better manage the arrangements for your move.
- Begin your preparations early, at least six to eight weeks before the actual pick up date.
- Prepare a daily task list that will account for all the packing and arrangements that you need. Dividing your moving arrangements into manageable moving tasks will help you to avoid unnecessary stress in the days that precede your pick relocation date.
- Prepare a careful inventory that details not only all the items that you would like to move but also all the items that require packing. Once you do that, decide which of the items on your packing list you would like to pack yourself and which ones you would like the relocation service to pack for you.
- Coordinate your schedule with that of the movers by reserving your pick up date early on. If you have a large move and you require packing services, you can request the mover to schedule a separate packing day.
- Make sure that your mover knows everything about elevators, flights of stairs, restrictions and necessary certificates in advance so no time will be wasted on the moving day.
