Of course, it is important to realize that the decision of which mover to use is not only about reputation, but also about whether or not the mover you are considering is suitable for your specific moving needs.
Two different companies may specialize in entirely different areas of moving. Therefore, as soon as you create the initial contact with your mover, make sure to ask if it specializes in the specific type of move that you require.
If you are moving long distance, make sure that you check if the mover has a lot of experience and the necessary facilities, equipment and trailers.
If you are moving locally, make sure that the mover is located in your immediate area and has a local headquarters.
Checking the Movers Reputation through Reliable Sources
So how would finding great movers will be checked? All movers will claim to be highly trustworthy and it is up to you, the customer, the check the credibility of such statements a with reliable sources. The premiere such sources are the BBB and the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration.
Another helpful way is getting references from customers who have used the services of the moving company in the past.
