You should compare the basic charge unit, rather than the bottom line price. Some companies are known to notoriously “lowball” the amount of weight, space, hours, etc. on the estimate itself in order to create a cosmetically low estimate. Comparing the charge unit rather than the final estimated price will help you in identifying such estimates.

One other thing that you need to check and consider before making your decision regarding which moving service you should use has to do with the possible extra charges. Such fees could amount to high charges that will completely change your moving price. Check for possible fees for packing and packing materials, access limitations and restrictions, flights of stairs, insurance certificates and so on. If not mentioned on your written estimate, call your relocation consultant to check about the possible extra fees and ask to receive them in writing.
